1. Introduction
The antiviral glass coating process combines antibacterial and anti-stain properties in a silicon oxide composite material. A nanofilm is applied to the glass surface to create a durable glass protective material with multiple functionalities, such as antiviral, anti-oil stain, and fingerprint resistance.
The antiviral glass coating is based on the current anti-fingerprint (AF) technology, where an antimicrobial/antiviral silicon oxide compound (ASP) is introduced into the AF oil. ASP and AF agents are fully integrated to form a stable transparent working solution. Using AF coating equipment and following AF processing conditions, the glass achieves the multiple functions of antiviral, anti-oil stain, and fingerprint resistance.
2. Efficacy
• The ASP antiviral glass coating effectively eliminates viruses with or without an enveloped structure, including "Gram-positive bacteria," "Gram-negative bacteria," molds, fungi, etc.
3. Applications
• Touchscreen panels
• Medical devices
• Hygiene materials
• Building materials
